Moog Etherwave Theremin Reviews 5

Black finish

Played one of these in college, my professor brought one in. These things go for around $300.

First things first. If you have not heard of a theremin before, it is one of the first electronic instruments. In a nutshell you play it by waving your hands through the air which effects its electrical current. It's a great instrument and its great for making some interesting sound effects. And if you are skilled enough even make beautiful music with it. And there is a definite coolness factor. It comes with standard 1/4' output and can be hooked up to guitar effects and amplify it, or hook it up to a computer with some editing software and add all kinds of effects for recording.

No real cons with it, but theremins in general are extremely hard to play, and this instrument is no exception.

Well constructed, no issues.

If you are looking to make some old fashioned horror movie sound effects this is great, or if you are trying to make some new sounds. And if you are really patient you might be able to make some music with it.
